Ulitmate Guitar Tabs
beginner Guitar Player learning how to read tabs from online?
so ive got the basics in guitar playing eg g,a etc but now i want to TRY to learn songs from the internet, and i used ulitmate guitar.com but i have no clue to read it so i was wondering if anyone can help me decoding the tabs into notes or atleast help me decode them and read it

In a tab, each line going horizontally across the page represents a string. The lowest line represents your lowest string, which is the low “E” The highest line represents your highest string etc. Each number represents the fret number, so for instance your first note would be the 7th fret of the D string, followed by the 9th fret of the G string. Although tabs do not show the actual rhythm patterns, most guitarists simply listen to the song in order at least get an idea of what it should sound like. Most tabs should have tempo markings and time signatures.
